Eyes and Ears Everywhere
Aird an Runair
A Single Long-tailed Skua flew north at 0730 and an additional 3 flew north circa 1000. A further 5 Long-tailed Skuas and a single Pomarine Skua were seen circa 1100.
The female/ immature Marsh Harrier was again in the Balranald/Loch nam Feithean area and the juvenile Gluacous Gull is still to be found on Loch Grogarry

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
A 3.5 hour seawatch produced 138 Gannet (102S 36N), 209 Kittiwake (203S 6N), 8 Manx Shearwater (S), 26 Fulmar (19S 7 N), 37 Guillemot (35S 2N), 6 Puffin (S), 3 Black-throated Diver (2S 1N) and a Great Skua (S)

Always Birding
A day spent in the Ness area today where there was a Red-throated Diver, a Single Whooper Swan, one Black-tailed Godwit and a male Ruff at Loch Stiapavat early in the morning. A/the Swift put in a brief appearance around midday and 3 House Martins were present in the afternoon.
At the Butt, a Pale-bellied Brent Goose was sharing the small fresh water pool with another Black-tailed Godwit and there were 21 Whimbrel on Lionel machair

A couple of other North Uist sightings: a ♂ Marsh Harrier was seen John Miller at South Clettraval (information via Glyn Evans) - I don't think we have many records of males - and a striking dark morph Arctic Skua in aberrant plumage (white coverts) was seen by Geoff while seawatching at Aird an Rùnair.
