Butt of Lewis
Four Glaucous Gulls (two adults and two juveniles) and two Iceland Gulls (adult and a juvenile) were there this afternoon
Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
A Treecreeper was seen in a garden today as were two Hawfinch still. A Glaucous Gull was at Loch Àirigh na Lic [see post below]
Loch Bee, South Uist
Three Scaup and seven White-tailed Eagles were seen there today
Askernish, South Uist
A Great Tit was in the township late morning
East Kilbride, South Uist
Two Slavonian Grebes were seen offshore today. 36 Great Northern Divers were seen between Kilbride and Eriskay early afternoon.
Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:55-11:00
Weather: Wind NE f3 veering S f2, 7/8 cloud and some light rain clearing to 0/8 cloud and sunshine. Temp 2c increasing to 4c.
A two hour seawatch this morning produced 49 Pale-bellied Brent Geese (S), 3 Long-tailed Ducks (N), 1 Red-throated Diver (N), 2 Gannets (1S 1N), 20 Shag (4S 16N), 1 Cormorant (S), and 2 Razorbills.
Also present in the area were Wigeon 44, Teal 6, Tufted Duck 12, Long-tailed Duck 26, Goldeneye 1, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Red-throated Diver 3, Great Northern Diver 6, Slavonian Grebe 1, Cormorant 21, Common Buzzard 1, Black-headed Gull 1, Hooded Crow 4, Raven 1, Skylark 5, Pied Wagtail 1, Rock Pipit 1 and Twite 5.
5 Bottle-nosed Dolphins were also seen heading south
