There has been an unconfirmed report of a Common Crane "in the dunes" on the island

A 4.5 hour sea watch early this morning produced 1 Common Scoter (S), 1 Red-throated Diver (S), 6 Great Northern Divers (S), 2 Storm Petrels (S), 126 Fulmar (175S 38N), 577 Manx Shearwater (554S 23N), 213 Gannet (175S 38N), 18 Kittiwake (15S 3N), 9 Arctic Tern (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 3 Arctic Skua (N), 118 Guillemot (S), 82 Razorbill, 1 Puffin (S), 142 auk sp (S)

2 Whimbrel reported there today

2 Pomerine Skuas were seen from from the Uig - Lochmaddy ferry this evening

Always Birding
A southerly movement of birds noted this evening at Askernish with 36 Gannets and 58 Manx Shearwater counted just offshore in 30 minutes. There were also 5 Whooper Swans on Loch Hallen
