Western Isles / Outer hebrides bird sightings for today, 13th November 2021. Updated throughout the day

Loch Ordais, Isle of Lewis
A Goosander, Gadwall, a Hen Harrier and a Jack Snipe were seen there today. 190 Shag were at the mouth of the bay

Tiumpan Head, Isle of Lewis
An immature Glaucous Gull was seen just offshore and a Sooty Shearwater flew south late morning

Baleshare, North Uist
A Scaup was seen there today

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:15-11:10
Weather: Wind NW f 1-2, 8/8 cloud, dull. Temp 10c.

A 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 3 Eide (S), 3 Long-tailed Duck (N), 12 Red-throated Divers (3S 9N), 1 Great Northern Diver (S), and 34 Shag (N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 14, Wigeon 52, Teal 20, Tufted Duck 21, Eider 21, *Surf Scoter* 1 (female type in a small group of Eider), Long-tailed Duck 19, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Red-throated Diver 3, Great Northern Diver 3, Common Buzzard 1, Golden Plover 130, Merlin 1, Peregrine 1, Pied Wagtail 5, Meadow Pipit 36, Twite 90

Surf Scoter still off Allasdale and 4 Pink-footed Geese still on the machair there. A Fieldfare, 2 Water Rails and a Woodcock were at Creachan, 2 Chiffchaffs and 2 Siskins were at Castlebay, 2 Siskins at Morghan and a Woodcock at Ardmhor.
