To add to the sightings for Aird an Runair this morning there was not much moving N in a one hour sea-watch (08.30-09.30 hours). The few species included a pair of Long-tailed Ducks, a couple of Great Skuas and 15 Puffins. A Merlin flew out on a heading between Shillay and Causamul and an Iceland Gull drifted S.

Geese in the Loch nam Feithean area included four Greenland White-fronts, nine Pink-feet, a flock of 24 presumed Icelandic Greylags flew N, while a good number of Barnacles (probably well over 1,000) remain. There were 24 Whooper Swans and the American Coot was seen again. Also a flock of 13 migrant Black-headed Gulls came through and continued N.

On nearby Loch na Reivil there were 15 Black-tailed Godwits and single Iceland and Glaucous Gulls.

The 18 Greenland White-fronts were still present at Carinish this afternoon.
