6 Woodpigeons on the wires at Brevig at first light when no doubt newly arrived migrants. Although a few pairs usually breed around Northbay and Ardmhor, they rarely stray far. A juvenile Crossbill was at Creachan briefly before flying south, my first Garden Warbler of the year was singing at Glen and a Swift was at Earsary. Shelducks have bred at their usual site at Caolas, Vatersay; a brood of 9 present today.
