Stinky Bay, Benbecula
A worn 3CY Iceland Gull, 39 Long-tailed Duck, a Great Skua, 12 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Wheatear and a White Wagtail seen there today. A Great Northern Diver, 6 Long-tailed Duck, 2 Sandwich Terns (fishing close inshore), a Tree Pipit (in with Meadow Pipits) , 1 White Wagtail and a Wheatear were nearby at Culla Bay 495 Golden Plover were on the machair at Borve

Weather: Wind S F6 gust F8, some rain initially but soon bright and sunny. Temp 9.5 - 11.7C
Counting period: 07:00 - 10:10

A seawatch this morning produced 7 Eider (3S 4N), 1 Long-tailed Duck (S), 1 Goldeneye (S - Female), 8 Red-throated Divers (7S 1N), 1 Great Northern Diver (S), 186 Fulmars (S), 36 Manx Shearwaters (35S 1N), 317 Gannets (275S 42N), 13 Shag (1S 12N), 4 Cormorants (3S 1N), 1 Bar-tailed Godwit (N), 5 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 33 Razorbills (S), 5 auk sp (1S 4N) and 6 Meadow pipits (S).
Also present in the area were Wigeon 46, Tufted Duck 8, Eider 13, Red-breasted Merganser 6, Great Northern Diver 2, Redshank 37, Common Gull 120, Great Black-backed Gull 10, Iceland Gull (2CY) 1, Herring Gull 230 and Meadow Pipit 8.

A Brambling and male Blackcap were seen in a garden there

North Bay, Barra
The female Brambling seen there yesterday was joined by a male this morning

Good numbers of manx shearwaters were off the east side of Barra this morning. c1440 flew south past Brevig in an hour. At least 1 Iceland gull was still at Ardveenish.
