Several Black-tailed Godwit flocks were seen on North Uist today - at least 50 at Loch Grogary, 69 near Loch Sandary and 48 at Aird Mhor (Carinish).

At Aird an Rùnair five Great Skuas flew N in just over one hour, at least 300 Barnacle Geese arrived from the S onto the headland while the five Brent Geese of the previous two days flew towards Haskeir.

Apart from the godwits other species in the Carinish area included three Slavonian Grebes in summer plumage, five Arctic Terns and a Swallow and Willow Warbler.
