Also at Aird an Runair, North Uist this morning two Great Skuas flew N and one flew S, there were two or three Arctic Terns present and a pair of Little Terns. A flock of at least 100 Brent Geese flew N and later 130 arrived from the S and settled on the headland. A number were seen to be colour-ringed and Peter obtained details.

My first corncrake of the year was calling in the rain on Barra today. 2 cuckoos were around Brevig (the first here arrived on Saturday). 3 little terns were off Eoligarry and an arctic tern was off Ardmhor ferry terminal. A grasshopper warbler was at Creachan (present since Sunday). A single redwing was at Castlebay.
