The **Purple Heron** was again at Loch an Ali, showing occasionally
Loch Portain, North Uist
Three Long-tailed Skuas flew north today at 12:30. A Fieldfare was also reported as being present
Loch Sandary, North Uist
2 Ruff (male and female) were there today
Clachan, South Uist
The Little Egret was still there this morning on Loch Bee, probably the same bird that was seen on Loch Fada, Benbecula in the evening
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 05:10 - 10:15
Weather: Wind NW backing WNW F4. 8/8 cloud throughout watch. Temp 9-10C.
A 5 hour seawatch this morning produced 4 Red-breasted Mergansers (N), 4 Red-throated Divers (N), 3 Great Northen Divers (N), 15 Fulmars (3S 12N), 27 Manx Shearwaters (N), 87 Gannets (27S 60N), 2 Cormorants (S), 18 Kittiwakes (N), 1 Great Skua (S), 9 Guillemots (N), 43 Razorbills (N), 1 Black Guillemot (N), 4 Puffins (N) and 156 auk sp (10S 146N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 8, Wigeon 1, Tufted Duck 9, Eider 7, Long-tailed Duck [female] 1, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 4, Cormorant 19, Ringed Plover 37 [arrival of Arctic birds with Dunlin on the fields], Sanderling 140, Dunlin 160, Arctic Tern 16, Rock Dove 14, Sand Martin 12, Swallow 2, Wheatear 2, alba wagtail sp. 1 and Linnet 2
