A ***Gyr Falcon*** [originally reported as a Snowy Owl] was seen briefly near the turning to the coastal car park this morning. 20 Snow Buntings were also in the area

2 juvenile Iceland Gulls, a juvenile Glaucous Gull and 90 Pale-bellied Brent Geese were there today

Late news of a single Waxwing seen on the island yesterday

Weather: Wind ESE f5 gust f6, 8/8 cloud, dull. Temp 7-8C.

A 2 hour seawatch this morning produced 4 Eider (S), 2 Red-throated Divers (1S 1N), 14 Gannets (11S 3N), 40 Shag (1S 39N), 2 Cormorants (S), 3 Purple Sandpipers (N), 2 Kittiwakes (1S 1N) and 5 Common Gulls (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 109, Wigeon 12, Tufted Duck 17, Cormorant 6, Golden Eagle [1CY]1, Lapwing 35, Golden Plover 16, Black-headed Gull 1, Hooded Crow 6 and Twite 108
