Eyes and Ears Everywhere
Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 26th March 2022. Updated throughout the day

2 juvenile Kumlien's Gull, 17 Iceland Gulls [1 adult], and 2 Glaucous Gulls [2nd-winter + juvenile], were between Rubh'Arnal and Kyles Paible. 116 Pale-bellied Brent Geese were also at Rubh'Arnal and 30 White-fronted Geese flew north around midday

Carinish, North Uist
28 Whooper Swans flew north-west this morning with another 37 flying north early afternoon

South Glendale, South Uist
A Chiffchaff was there today

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 11 Greylag Geese (N), 235 Greenland White-fronted Geese (N), [2 flocks of 130 + 105 @ 09:49], 13 Whooper Swans (N), 1 Wigeon (N), 1 Long-tailed Duck (N), 2 Red-throated Divers (N), 1 Gannet (N), 5 Shag (2N 3S), 62 Oystercatchers (N), 29 Black-headed Gulls (N), and 3 auk sp (N).
Also in the area were Greylag Goose 4, Wigeon 53, Tufted Duck 11, Long-tailed Duck 9, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Great Northern Diver 6, Shag 12, Cormorant 8, Oystercatcher 77, Bar-tailed Godwit 17, Black-tailed Godwit 75, Sanderling 77, Black-headed Gull 12, Great Black-backed Gull 13, Herring Gull 153, Peregrine 2, Hooded Crow 4, Raven 4, Skylark 1, Wheatear 1, Pied Wagtail 5, Meadow Pipit 12, Rock Pipit 1, and Twite 78.
