On Barra the Great Tit was still at Creachan this evening. The juvenile Iceland Gull was still at Borve Point and a House Martin flew south at Brevig. There were a few new Chiffchaffs around the island and there seemed to be an increase in Redwing numbers.

Nine Greenland White-fronted Geese came from the N around 07.30 hours at Carinish, North Uist and appeared to land at Aird Mhor. Also a ♂ Wheatear was singing.

Later in the morning the only sightings of note in a brief seawatch at Aird an Runair, North Uist were two Long-tailed Ducks and a Great Northern Diver that flew N. At least four Wheatears were on the headland.

Near Aird an Runair and E of Traigh lar were almost 1,000 Barnacles. Later well over a thousand others arrived in the area from the S. Also amongst the Barnacles was what appeared to be a Cackling Goose (identified by Steve Duffield).

The ♂ Green-winged Teal was again noted at Loch Sandary.
