On Barra today a Grasshopper Warbler was in the dunes near the airport. My first Kestrel of the autumn flew in off the misty sea at Eoligarry this morning; clearly it wasn't impressed by what it saw, as it turned around and flew back out to sea again a few moments later! There was a noticeable southerly movement of Black-headed Gulls during the day with a minimum of c70 passing Brevig from late afternoon.
