3 Snow Buntings were at in the Cross area today.
Balranald, North Uist
The small Canada Goose was with the Barnacle Geese and 5 Pintail were on Loch nam Feithean.
Loch Paible,North Uist
2 Iceland Gulls (adult + sub adult) were seen there this morning. A juvenile Glaucous Gull was nearby on the machair at Sollas.
Scotvein, Grimsay
3 Fieldfares were there today .
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Weather: Wind E F3 dropping to F2, 8/8 cloud. Temp 3.5C - 4.9C.
A 2.75 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Wigeon (N), 12 Eider (8S 4N), 1 Long-tailed Duck (N), 2 Red-breasted Mergansers (S), 12 Red-throated Divers (5S 7N), 15 Gannets (5S 10N), 89 Shag (14 S 75N), 2 Cormorants (S), 4 Razorbills (1S 3N), 2 auk ap (1S 1N) and 17 Oystercatchers (N) in 3 groups of 10, 4 & 3. This is the first sign of spring passage over the sea.
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 29, Wigeon 22, Teal 10, Tufted Duck 14, Long-tailed Duck 7, Red-throated Diver 3, Great Northern Diver 7, Shag 14, Cormorant 34, Bar-tailed Godwit 28, Curlew 12, Turnstone 89, Purple Sandpiper 22, Black-headed Gull 2, Kumlien's Gull 1 (3CY), Razorbill 2, Merlin 1 and Rock Pipit 2
South Glendale, South Uist
The male Brambling is still to be found in a garden there
