A Lesser Whitethroat was in the village this morning. The female ***Snowy Owl** was also seen at Cambir and the village before heading over to the western ridge. A Rose-coloured Starling was seen in the village yesterday

5 Sooty Shearwaters flew west during a mid morning seawatch
Bornish, South Uist
84 Black-tailed Godwits were on the machair today
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:55 - 09:25
Weather: Wind NNW F2, initially 8/8 cloud but changing to bright and sunny. Temp 12C.
A 2+hour seawatch this morning produced 3 Red-throated Divers (S), 7 Great Northern Divers (2S 5N), 25 Fulmars (2S 23N), 1 Sooty Shearwater (S), 8 Manx Shearwaters (4S 4N), 125 Gannets (71S 54N), 1 Shag (S), 1 Cormorant (S), 3 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 1 Razorbill (S) and 19 auk sp (6S 13N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 11, Mallard 53, Teal 1, Red-breasted Merganser 7, Red-throated Diver 1, Little Grebe 1, Grey Heron 2, Common Buzzard 3, Curlew 2, Bar-tailed Godwit 4, Rock Dove 16, Merlin 1, Raven 2, Wheatear 1, Pied Wagtail 6, White Wagtail 1, Meadow Pipit 15 and Rock Pipit 1
