Stinky Bay had 8 Long-tailed Ducks, close inshore.

At Liniclate there were 40 Redwings.

There were quire a lot of Lapwings in the Torlum area which is in contrast to the range earlier.

The red-necked grebe was relatively close in from Ardmhor ferry terminal this afternoon. This is an interesting bird; the bill seems very long for the species and is wholly yellow. These features fit with the American race holboelli, however there appears to be considerable overlap with European birds. While the bird looks particularly long necked in the photos, this could be attributed to it being a bit nervous and alarmed as it swam away from the noisy ferry as it docked.

Elsewhere on Barra, 2 common redpolls were at Morghan, 4+ Iceland gulls and a single glaucous gull were at Ardveenish and another Iceland gull was at Traigh Mhor.
