I received details today of the colour ringed Curlew Sandpiper that was at Traigh Mhor, Barra on 5th September. It was ringed at Giske Ringing Station off the west coast of Norway on 28th August, travelling a distance of 966km in 8 days. It was seen at Stinky Bay, Benbecula two days after the Barra sighting.
