Outer Hebrides / Western Isles bird sightings for today, 10th November 2018. Updated throughout the day.

Seilebost, Isle of Harris
Two drake Surf Scoters were reported to be in a flock of Common Scoters there this morning. 4 Slavonian Grebes and 32 Long-tailed Duck were also in the area

Bornish, South Uist
A Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Pink-footed Geese were on the machair

South Glendale, South Uist
4 Blackcaps (3 Female, 1 Male) were still in a garden there

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 07:55 - 11:50
Weather: Wind S veering SSW F6-7, cloud and a few showers initially, becoming brighter with sunny spells. Temp 10C.

A near 4 hour seawatch this morning produced 1 Teal (N), 6 Eider (S), 3 Long-tailed Duck (S), 18 Red-throated Divers (S), 10 Great Northern Divers (S), 246 Gannets (236S 10N), 23 Shag (1S 22N), 2 Cormorants (S), 57 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Black-headed Gull (S), 8 Common Gull (S), 12 Guillemots (S) and 23 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 25, Wigeon 46, Tufted Duck 6, Long-tailed Duck 1, Goldeneye 1, Red-throated Diver 3, Great Northern Diver 1, Cormorant 17, Purple Sandpiper 1, Snipe 9, Common Gull 120, Rock Dove 46, Raven 2, Rock Pipit 5 and Twite 50
