Butt of Lewis: Wed. 11 July
Sea Watch (16.00 – 17.00) NW F. 3

Sooty Shearwater – 3 flew E-W
Manx Shearwater – 46 E-W
Puffin – 32 E-W
Black Guillemot – 9 E-W

Rose-coloured Starling – yesterday evening I received a report of an adult with a group of Common Starlings at Battery Beach, near Sandwick Cemetery, on the east side of the town overlooking the harbour. It was described as being 'quite timid' and flew off on its own towards the Power Station.



Always Birding

On Loch Hallan today, there were 4 Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Greenshank in the shallows. Although in the locality, I missed the Glaucous Gull that was reported as being there at 4pm
