Dotterel still present on the Paiblesgarry machair early this morning also Semipalmated Sandpiper at Aird an Runair, North Uist (Barry Barnacal). When watching this bird yesterday was consistently showing antagonistic behaviour, especially towards Dunlin, flying at any encroaching on its feeding area.

Travelling on the early morning ferry from Berneray to Leverborough, I managed to count 84 Great Northern Divers but there were probably many more. In Stornoway woods there were 3 male blackcaps and a chiffchaff singing around the mill and at least 8, possibly 12 House Martins hawking insects over the trees around Willowglen Are they breeding in Stornoway?? . As there are very few records as to how the rooks and jackdaws are faring, I had a quick look at the rookery where I managed to count 6 nests but will return when it is less windy. c140 Great Black-backed Gulls were loafing near the landfill site
