Outer Hebrides / Western Isles bird sightings for today, 15th November 2018. Updated throughout the day

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 07:50 - 10:20
Weather: Wind S veering SSW F4 decreasing to f2. 8/8 cloud, very murky and dull, continual rain. Temp 10C

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 8 Eider (S), 7 Long-tailed Duck (6S 1N), 33 Red-throated Divers (S), 3 Great Northern Divers (S), 8 Gannets (S), 31 Shag (N), 4 Cormorants (S), 13 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Black-headed Gull (S), 1 Guillemot (S) and 5 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 19, Wigeon 11, Teal 2, Tufted Duck 4, Goldeneye 2, Red-breasted Merganser 4, Red-throated Diver 3, Great Northern Diver 5, Cormorant 13, Purple Sandpiper 6, Snipe 6, Hooded Crow 3, Skylark 1 and Rock Pipit 1
