The American redstart was still present in the usual trees at Eoligarry at dusk. It's now been present for ten days and has been seen by around 200 birders. Otherwise it's business as usual on Barra: 40 pink-footed geese flew south over Eoligarry this evening. A ruff was on the machair at Borve along with 18 golden plovers(our first this autumn) and a few chiffchaffs and willow warblers were scattered round the island.
