Weather: Wind W f7-8, easing to F6. 8/8 cloud and dull at first with light showers, slowly brightening. Temp 12C.
A 4+ hour seawatch produced 1 Eider (S), 3 Common Scoter (S), 10 Red-throated Divers (6S 4N), 4 Great Northern Divers (S), 13 Leach's Petrel (S), 8 Fulmars (S), 5 Sooty Shearwaters (S), 57 Manx Shearwaters (S), 1 ****Barolo Shearwater**** (S), 883 Gannets (881S 2N), 1 Kittiwake (S), 2 Arctic Tern (S), 2 Great Skuas (S), 1 Arctic Skua (S), 4 Razorbills (S) and 2 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Ringed Plover 19, Curlew 15, Snipe 1, Rock Dove 19, White Wagtail 1, Pied Wagtail 2, Meadow Pipit 15
The Barolo Shearwater was described as "small size, low fluttering flight alternating glides very distinct"
