WeBS count today, started at first light and the weather not too bad to begin with but went downhill by late morning. Highlights were:-

Loch Bee: c400 Wigeon, c200 Mute Swans, numbers seemed down on usual winter numbers (there were c360 last count in December), 34 Ravens, 150 Greenland White-fronts,1 Peregrine, 120+ Golden Plover on the count area and another 100+ just off the count area, 7 White-tailed Eagles, 4 Greenshank, 7 Goldeneye and a single Scaup.

South Ford: One American Golden Plover, 142 Grey Plover, c120 Bar-tailed Godwits, c300 Dunlin, a high count of 106 Shelduck.
