In the fields at Eachkamish (Baleshare), North Uist this morning two Buff-breasted Sandpipers were present (two were seen here a few days ago). I managed to get a long-distance record shot but when three Lapland Buntings flew over and I looked back they had disappeared and I couldn't relocate them. At least 35 Black-tailed Godwits were also in the area.

At Langass, North Uist in the late afternoon I had just got out of the car when an Osprey drifted over and went away towards Locheport. Once again I only managed a long-distance shot.

A juvenile Cuckoo was on the fence on the sheltered side of the small plantation.
