Despite the high tide there were virtually no waders present at Traigh Leathann, North Uist in the late morning. I was just about to walk back to the car along the beach when a few Ringed Plover and a Buff-breasted Sandpiper flew onto the saltings. Quite flighty at first but later after waiting in one spot the Buff-breast came fairly close and I was able to obtain some reasonable photos.
