16 Black-tailed Godwits were on Loch Beag at midday

Melbost, Isle of Lewis
70+ Black-tailed Godwits were there today

Balranald, North Uist
A ***Cackling Goose*** and the ***Todd's Canada Goose*** were seen at Aird an Runair with circa 1000 Barnacle Geese. A Lapland Bunting was also in the area as was 170+ Black-tailed Godwits, mostly by Loch nam Feithean

Loch Sandary, North Uist
Three Scaup (male, 2 females) and 21 Black-tailed Godwits were there today

Baleshare, North Uist
38 Black-tailed Godwits were there this evening

Carinish, North Uist
180 Brent Geese were on the North Ford, as were 12 Common Terns and an Arctic Tern

Garrynamonie, South Uist
An Immature Glaucous Gull, 5 Whimbrel and 7 Black-tailed Godwits were seen there today

Smerclete, South Uist
An immature glaucous gull and 78 Black-tailed Godwits were there this evening

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:20-11:35
Weather: Wind NNW f 3-4, mix of bright sunny periods and variable cloud. Temp 8-9 c.

A 3+ hour seawatch this morning produced 145 Pale-bellied Brent Geese (N), 6 Pink-footed Geese (N), 8 Red-throated Divers (3S 5N), 1 Fulmar (N), 44 Gannets (11S 33N), 2 Shag (N), 3 Cormorants (N), 5 Kittiwakes (S 4N), 1 Great Skua (N) and 9 auk sp (5S 4N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 2, Wigeon 9, Tufted Duck 12, Eider 2, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 5, Cormorant 23, Ringed Plover 52, Whimbrel 1, Bar-tailed Godwit 4, Black-tailed Godwit 271, Turnstone 70, Sanderling 65, Snipe 1, Redshank 15, Merlin 1, Peregrine 1, Hooded Crow 13, Skylark 2, Sand Martin 3, Wheatear 2, Pied Wagtail 3, Meadow Pipit 7, Twite 23, Linnet 5

At least 4 Lapland Buntings at Balranald this afternoon along with 14 Whimbrel.

Plenty of Black-tailed Godwits around South Uist today with 160+ at Clachan on Loch Bee, 120+ around Loch an t-Saile, 148 on the pools by LA2 and 140+ At Frobost. Two Whimbrel were on the machair at Ardivachar, seven Pale-bellied Brents were in North Bay and a group of 95 were at Balgarva.

An obvious arrival of migrants today including c110 grounded Pink-footed Geese, 15 Black-tailed Godwits, 4 Little Terns, 1 Common Tern, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Siskins, 5+ Chiffchaffs and dozens of Willow Warblers around the island. Still a few Redwings lingering.

Tree pipit, chiffchaff and willow warbler in my garden on 19th in the rain

Several willow warblers and 2 chiffchaffs at North Loch Eynort today.

Several common sandpipers around on central south Uist today.

This eve 157 blackwits, 4 whimbrel and c1000 roosting golden plover on the range at LA2 pools.

Further 66 blackwits and pr of pintail at Ardkenneth and another 185+ blackwits and another pr of pintail at Clachan at the N end of Loch Bee.
