A flock of at least 45 Pink-footed Geese flew S over Carinish, North Uist this morning as I was taking the dogs out while a Water Rail (the first for some while) was 'squealing' in the marsh.

Later in the morning there was the first arrival of Whooper Swans on Baleshare, North Uist with three on Loch Mhic Coan and Vicky and Terry Easter saw a herd of 24. A Great Skua flew N off Baleshare beach.
