An influx of Redpoll today here at Askernish including a male that was ringed in Thornton, Leicester on 3rd November 2015. This was the forth time that I have controlled it here, the last time being a year ago, almost to the day!

A Mediterranean Gull was at Eoligarry this afternoon before moving to Traigh Mhor on the rising tide. 7 Black-tailed Godwits were also at Traigh Mhor. At least 7 Storm Petrels were feeding off Brevig during the late morning. 2 Blackcaps were at Glen.

Manx Shearwater – 301 E-W
Sooty Shearwater – 16 E-W

Common Redshank – a flock of 7 came in off the sea from N just west of the lighthouse (1200) and carried on SW down the coast.
Hen Harrier – ringtail over Eoropie machair.
Sparrowhawk – female in Port of Ness.
