Borve, Barra
The Rose-coloured Starling is still to be found on the machair

Ardnastruban, Grimsay
A Grey Wagtail was seen there today.

Loch Mor, Benbecula
33 Black-tailed Godwits were on the loch this morning.

Howmore River, South Uist
66 Black-tailed Godwits were on the river today

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:10 - 09:40
Weather: Wind S F5, 8/8 cloud, dull with rain from 08:10, temp 14C.

A 3+ hour seawatch this morning produced 5 Red-breasted Mergansers (S), 1 Storm Petrel (S), 5 Fulmars (S), 29 Manx Shearwaters (S), 457 Gannets (424S 33N), 6 Turnstones (S), 4 Greenshank (S), 4 Kittiwakes (S), 4 Guillemots (S), 104 Razorbills (S), 1 Black Guillemot (S) and 110 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 15, Curlew 2, Knot 1, Arctic Tern 12 and Peregrine 2

With Black-tailed Godwits being reported around the islands, it was no suprise to see circa 50 flying south over Askernish this afternoon. On the beach, Sanderling numbers have increased to cica 250 which included the first juvenile.
