Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 26th September 2021. Updated throughout the day

Hirta, St Kilda
The ***Buff-bellied Pipit***, female ***Snowy Owl*** and Greenland Redpoll were still on the island today, as was a newly arrived Spotted Flycatcher

Loch Stiapabhat, Isle of Lewis
Seven Pink-footed Geese made a brief stopover this morning. The immature male *Ring-necked Duck* was there in the evening and a Snow Bunting was nearby at the Butt of Lewis

Balranald, North Uist
A Glaucous Gull was seen on the reserve this morning

Eochar, South Uist
Three Little Stints were seen on the mudflats opposite Hebridean Jewellery this morning

West Gerinish, South Uist
A Little Stint was in the south-west corner of Loch Bee

Drimsdale, South Uist
300 Black-tailed Godwits were seen on the machair there

Aird-mhicheil, South Uist
A Pectoral Sandpiper was seen on the machair just to the south of the road to cemetery

Ormiclate, South Uist
At least one *Buff-breasted Sandpiper* was again on the machair amongst Golden Plover to the west of Loch Toronais

Kildonan, South Uist
The ***Todd's Canada Goose*** was agin seen on the township machair
