Eyes and Ears Everywhere
Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 2nd October 2021. Updated throughout the day

Hirta, St Kilda
Two ***Buff-bellied Pipits*** were on the island today. The **Short-toed Lark** was still present as was the Greenland White-fronted Goose. Two Lapland Buntings and seven Snow Buntings were also there.

Eight Storm Petrels and a Pomarine Skua were seen "at sea" from the Uig - Lochmaddy ferry today

West Gerinish, South Uist
A Pectoral Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, Curlew Sandpiper, and two Little Stint were in the south-west corner of Loch Bee. 36 Knot were also present as were 6 Brent Geese. Three Scaup, 38 Shoveler and 1100+ Wigeon were on the loch. A *Buff-breasted Sandpiper* was also seen on the Range

Stoneybridge, South Uist
A Snow Bunting was seen on the beach this morning

Bornish, South Uist
A Ruff was on seen on the machair there.
