On Barra the small Canada Goose was with c100 Barnacle Geese on Borve Point after an absence of 3 days. There were also 2 Pink-footed Geese at Borve and another at Eoligarry. 22 Whooper Swans were on Loch Tangasdale and 11 Brent Geese were at Traigh Mhor. 20 Long-tailed Ducks were off Craigston and c35 were off Tangasdale. There's been an influx of Woodcock in the past few days; a minimum of 7 were on the island today along with 4 Blackcaps, 6 Chiffchaffs, 5 Bramblings, 1 Common Redpoll and several hundred Redwings.

North Uist: a ♂ American Wigeon was at Aileodair, North Uist today. Doubtless a returning bird with records here (also nearby Oban Trumisgarry and Loch an Duin) since 2014. Possibly as many as three were present in late October/early November 2016.

_DSC6651_2.JPG Rather a distant photo.

Single Brambling were at Claddach-baleshare at a garden feeding station and on peanut feeder at Langass.

A Woodcock was in a Lochmaddy garden and there was a mobile flock of ca.20 redpolls.
