The *Glossy Ibis* was there again today

Counting period: 09:15-11:30
Weather: Wind NNW backing NW f6 gust f8. A mix of strong snow/sleet showers and sunny periods. Temp 4c dropping to 2c.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Eider (S), 3 Red-throated Divers (1S 2N), 8 Gannets (1S 7N), 37 Shag (2S 35N), 1 Cormorant (N), 1 Kittiwake (S), 8 Great Black-backed Gulls (3S 5N), 1 Glaucous Gull [juvenile] (S), and 5 Herring Gulls.
Also present in the area were Wigeon 32, Tufted Duck 4, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Cormorant 21, Curlew 9, Sanderling 11, Purple Sandpiper 16, Redshank 1, Hooded Crow 2, Raven 4, Skylark 4, and Twite 27

In addition to the Glossy Ibis at Bruernish, a juvenile Glaucous Gull was patrolling the cliffs near Cleat and 11 Greenland White-fronted Geese were on the crofts there. A further 9 White-fronts were at Eoligarry.
