Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 4th October. Updated throughout the day

Hirta, St Kilda
The **Short-toed Lark** and only one ***Buff-bellied Pipit*** were seen there today. A male Blackcap and the first Redwing of the autumn were also on the island

Loch Stiapabhat, Isle of Lewis
The **Lesser Yellowlegs** and 4 *Ringed-necked Ducks* were still present today as were 2 Pectoral Sandpipers

Croir, Isle of Lewis
A Blackcap is visiting a garden there. 320 Pink-feet in two Skeins flew over today

Ardroil, Isle of Harris
At least one Brambling was seen there today

Balranald, North Uist
A Lapland Bunting was seen on the reserve late morning. Two Pintail were also present

Baleshare, North Uist
The juvenile *American Golden Plover* was still at Teanamachar this morning

West Gerinish South Uist
Late news of a ***Semipalmated Sandpiper*** being present in the southwest corner of Loch Bee on Saturday (2nd October)

Bornish, South Uist
A *Common Rosefinch* was visiting a garden there in the afternoon. 36 Pink-footed Geese and 47 Black-tailed Godwits were nearby on Bornish machair

Morgan, Barra
The *Kingfisher* was seen there today

Nask, Barra
The Pied Flycatcher was again seen this morning as was a Barred Warbler later in the day

Brevig, Barra
A *Common Rosefinch* Yellow-browed Warbler and Barred Warbler were there today
