Scanning through the newly arrived Black-tailed Godwits now passing through the islands, I found this colour ringed individual at Kilpheder. It turns out to be one of Peter Potts birds ringed this year as a chick on 13th July 2018 at Skeidsfossstod, Fljot, Skagafjardarsysla, N Iceland

News from Andrew Stevenson:

Balgarva: juvenile curlew sandpiper
South Ford: 130 grey plover, 175 barwits, 30 knot (22 at Balgarva on 2 Sep)
Bornish machair: 117 blackwits; 20+ sand martins & c40 swallows

90 blackwits on Drimsdale machair on 2 Sep.

Red Admiral in the garden today first for a couple of weeks.
