Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 8th September 2021. Updated throughout the day

Baleshare, North Uist
A Curlew Sandpiper was near the beach car park this afternoon and still present at 16:42

Ardivachar, South Uist
82 Black-tailed Godwits were moving between the beach and the fields. Also present were 519 Bar-tailed Godwits, 830 Sanderling and 156 Turnstones. 114 Grey Plover and 19 Knot were nearby on South Ford

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
A juvenile Little Stint was with Dunlin in South Bay. A Pectoral Sandpiper and Curlew Sandpiper were at roost with Dunlin at high tide (19:00)

Always Birding
There were circa 240 Black-tailed Godwits and 4 Ruff on the machiar between Frobost and Dalibrugh this afternoon. There was also a single mixed flock of 120+ birds consisting of Twite and Linnet with Linnet making up nearly 40% of the flock.
