Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
19 Sooty Shearwaters were seen from the Stornoway - Ullapool ferry today

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 05:55 - 09:25
Weather: Wind SW F5-6, 8/8 cloud and rain, improving a little later. Temp 11.8C.

A 3+ hour seawatch this morning produced 1 [summer plumage] Great Northern Diver (S), 8 Storm Petrel (S), 19 Fulmars (S), 5 Sooty Shearwaters (S), 389 Manx Shearwaters (S), 300 Manx Shearwaters (282S 18N), 17 Oystercatchers (S), 7 Kittiwakes (6S 1N), 1 Great Skua (S), 1 Arctic Skua (S), 11 Black Guillemots (S), 5 Puffin (S) and 2 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Eider 24, Grey Heron 1, Cormorant 7, Ringed Plover 112, Sanderling 103, Dunlin 109, Common Gull 173, Herring Gull 89, Meadow Pipit 6 and Twite 2

The Ring-billed Gull was still at Traigh Bhialias, Vatersay this morning, feeding just off of the beach among the Herring and Common Gulls. A juvenile Cuckoo was at Brevig this evening.
