The Sabine's Gull at Cleat finally departed at 5.45pm after spending the whole afternoon on the sea about 100m off the beach. It flew off strongly towards the north-east, but a subsequent search of Traigh Mhor/Eoligarry/Scurrival failed to relocate it.

At Aird an Runair, North Uist this morning there were two Red-necked Phalaropes on the loch at the end of the headland. Spent sometime preening. With the number of sightings this year may well have bred somewhere on the Reserve (in 2015 bred here for the first time in 31 years). The Glaucous Gull was in its usual place on the beach.
