Outer Hebrides / Western Isles bird sightings for today, 10th July 2018. Updated throughout the day

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:30 - 09:20
Weather: Wind NW-NNW F2, 8/8 cloud, murky out to sea. Very fine, light drizzle at times. Temp 14C.

A near 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 10 Storm Petrels (N), 16 Fulmars (N), 196 Manx Shearwaters (12S 184N), 190 Gannets (22S 168N), 1 Cormorant (N), 1 Kittiwake (S), 1 Great Skua (N), 1 Razorbill (N), 32 Puffins (S) and 1 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Ringed Plover 6, Bar-tailed Godwit 6, Dunlin 2, Black-headed Gull 22, Arctic Tern 27, Sand Martin 2, Swallow 7, Pied Wagtail 3, Meadow Pipit 10 and Linnet 2

The Rose-coloured Starling was again at Borve today. Up to 5 Black-throated Divers are still in the bay at Brevig.
