A Little Auk flew past me on the beach at Tangasdale, Barra this morning. After heading inland it looped around over Loch na Doirlin and headed back out to sea. Nearby the Ring-necked Duck was still on Loch Tangasdale and 10 Pale-bellied Brent Geese and a Goldeneye were at Traigh Mhor.

Of interest, a dead Gannet found on the strandline on Vatersay a few days ago had been ringed as a nestling on Sule Stack, Orkney on 18th July 2003.
