2 Lapland Buntings, also reported were 2 juvenile Iceland Gulls and a juvenile Glaucous Gull.
2 Whimbrel were seen at Claddach Baleshare.
Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
A 1W drake Velvet Scoter, 41 Gannets and 9 Puffins flew south this morning. 183 Barnacle Geese, 2 Whimbrel and 10 Gannets were all seen flying north. 2 Wheatears and 5 White Wagtails also present.
At nearby Loch Bornish 2 Sand Martins were seen.

4 Iceland Gulls were present in the Inner Harbour today.

- Green-winged Teal and duck teal sp. have moved from Fivepenny to the loch
- Barnacle Geese – only 8 remain
- Iceland Gull – a juvenile in early evening
- Northern Shoveler – pair still present
- Eurasian Coot – still present
- Butt of Lewis
- Iceland Gull – two juveniles on and off through the day, often together
- Brent Goose – one
- Barnacle Goose – two in evening
- Shelduck – one flew round the Butt (am)
- Barn Swallow – one
- Snow Bunting – yesterday’s bird still present
- Redwing – 3 in lighthouse compound
- Port of Ness
- Woodpigeon – one (rare here)
- Manx Shearwater – 2 flew N (first of the year)
- Pinkfooted Geese - Two flocks, of 40 and 60, went out to sea to NW (am) then at (1055) a flock of 150 came in from E and headed S down the coast towards Skigersta; later a similar-sized flock (possibly the same one) arrived over Lionel from S and joined 52 already on the machair there. By this evening there were 525 feeding on the machair behind Lionel School
