A large Canada Goose was in fields opposite the golf course this evening. Only the fifth record for the island

Weather: Wind SSW veering SW f7 gust f9, 8/8 low cloud with rain, poor visibility for first hour. Temp 10C
A 4+ hour seawatch this morning produced 5 Common Scoter (S), 2 Long-tailed Duck S), 2 Red-breasted Merganser (N), 28 Kittiwake S), 1 Razorbill S), 1 auk sp S), 5 Red-throated Divers S), 23 Fulmars S), 1 Manx Shearwater S), 70 Gannets (64S 6N), and 13 Shag (2S 11N).
Also in the area were Wigeon 34, Teal 3, Tufted Duck 9, Snipe 1, Great Northern Diver 1, Cormorant 15, Hooded Crow 8, and Meadow Pipit 1
