Outer Hebrides / Western Isles bird sightings for today, 6th March 2018

Ness, Isle of Lewis
4 Snow Buntings were at in the Cross area today.

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Weather: Wind E F5, 8/8 cloud, light rain for much of the time. Temp 3.7C
A 2.5 hour seawatch this morning produced 26 Eider (8S 18N), 10 Long-tailed Ducks (1S 9N), 6 Red-throated Divers (5S 1N), 72 Shag (6S 66N), 2 Cormorants (S), 1 Guillemot (S) and 20 Razorbills (17S 3N).
Also present in the area were Wigeon 30, Teal 18, Tufted Duck 13, Great Northern Diver 5, Shag 43, Cormorant 12, Snipe 1, Black-headed Gull 4, Glaucous Gull 2 (juveniles), Iceland Gull 1 (adult), Merlin 1 and Twite 30

South Glendale, South Uist
The male Brambling is still to be found in a garden there
