Some sightings on North Uist from Rubh' Arnal to Aird an Runair (visit for co-ordinated Raven count). In the Rubh' Arnal area there were four pale-bellied Brent Geese and 85 Ravens. At Loch Paible two pairs of Pintail while a Hooded Crow accompanied by a Jackdaw flew across the mouth of the loch to S (presumably the same bird that was near Aird an Runair yesterday). Three White Wagtails were on the beach while at Loch nam Feithean and nearby there were perhaps 2,000 Barnacle Geese (at one time put up by a White-tailed Eagle and definitely not as many in the area as yesterday), ten Pink-footed Geese, four Greenland White-fronted Geese and a flock of ten Black-tailed Godwits in flight.

In the evening near Rubha nan Ron (Carinish shore) there was a Common/Arctic Tern sat on a rock. At some distance so no chance of specific identification.

On Barra there were 2 Jackdaws at Castlebay this morning. The number of Chiffchaffs and Willow Warblers increased again and a pair of Blackcaps were at Ardmhor, but I only saw 1 Redwing all day. The parvipes Canada Goose was still on Borve Point with about 80 Barnacle Geese. The Great Tit continued its travels, moving northwards; it was at Northbay when I arrived there this morning, then joined me at Ardmhor Plantation half an hour later. Next stop South Uist perhaps?
