42 Storm Petrel, 1 Sooty Shearwater, 2 Grey Phalarope, and 3 Little Terns passed offshore today with circa 500-1000 Manx Shearwaters passing per hour. A Whimbrel was seen in off the sea

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
2 Sooty Shearwaters and 30 Storm Petrels were seen from the Ullapool - Stornoway ferry this morning. A **Cory's Shearwater** and a *Balearic Shearwater* were seen in the afternoon

25 Common Scoter were seen offshore today

Weather: Wind SSE f 3-4, mostly dull and murky with light drizzle

A near 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 20 Kittiwakes (16S 4N), 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull (S), 2 Common Terns (S), 5 Arctic Terns (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 1 Arctic Skua (S), 4 Black Guillemots (S), 1 Red-throated Diver (S), 4 Storm Petrels (S), 407 Manx Shearwaters (S), and 94 Gannets.
Also in the area were Greylag Goose 25, Mallard 18, Teal 1, Curlew 2, Turnstone 7, Dunlin 6, Black-headed Gull 17, Razorbill 3 [adult with small chick + a larger chick], Grey Heron 2, White-tailed Eagle 1, Common Buzzard 1, Sand Martin 2, Pied Wagtail 3, Meadow Pipit 6, and Rock Pipit 1

There were 6 Ruff and a single Black-tailed Godwit in cut fields at Ormiclate while 3 Swifts were amongst the 50+ hirundine hawking insects over the same fields

A 2 hour seawatch early afternoon produced 7 Sooty Shearwaters, c1400 Manx Shearwaters, 1 Storm Petrel, 1 Arctic Skua, 1 Bonxie and c20 Arctic Terns going south.
