West Loch Ollay, South Uist
The female ***Lesser Scaup*** and female Pochard were on the mostly frozen loch early afternoon. At least 3 adult *European White-fronted Geese* were with Grelags on the crofts between Ormiclate and Bornish

Weather: Wind ESE backing WNW f1-2. Mostly 8/8 cloud, some brighter spells and also a few light showers. Temp 3c.
During a 2 hour seawatch this morning, the only species noted due to no sea movement were 1 Red-throated Diver (S), 3 Cormorants (S) and 15 Shag (3S 12N).
Also present in the area were Shoveler 5, Gadwall 2, Wigeon 173, Mallard 106, Pintail 1 [female], Teal 76, Tufted Duck 14, Goldeneye 1 [adult male], Lapwing 23, Golden Plover 15, Ringed Plover 33, Curlew 8, Bar-tailed Godwit 1, Black-tailed Godwit 2, Sanderling 80, Dunlin 53, Purple Sandpiper 23, Snipe 2, Redshank 14, Common Gull 55, Great Black-backed Gull 7, Herring Gull 12, Cormorant 17, Common Buzzard 1, Merlin 1, Hooded Crow 8, Raven 5, Skylark 16, Redwing 1, Blackbird 2, Pied Wagtail 1, Rock Pipit 4, and Twite 29
