There was no change in the number of Iceland and Glaucous Gulls present at Rubh' Arnal this morning (about six of each including an adult Iceland). Also seen today was a Scandinavian Herring Gull argentatus. This nominate subspecies appears to be quite a scarce visitor to the Outer Hebrides. They can be picked out from the usual argenteus by a darker grey mantle along with more white at the wing tips.
