Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 18th March 2020. Updated throughout the day

Loch Leosaid, Isle of Harris
17 Whooper Swans were on the loch this morning

Loch Mor, Benbecula
A Black-tailed Godwit and 56 Whooper Swans were there today.

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:55 - 09:25
Weather: Wind WSW f6-7 occasional showers. Mix of cloud and some sunny spells. Temp 3 - 4C.

A 2.5 hour seawatch this morning produced 9 Eider (S), 2 Common Scoter (S), 1 Long-tailed Duck (S), 10 Gannet (4S 6N), 43 Shag (1S 42N), 1 Cormorant (S), 6 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Guillemot (S), 5 Razorbills (S), 1 Black Guillemot (S) and 3 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Wigeon 8, Tufted Duck 7, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 4, Shag 14, Cormorant 24, Bar-tailed Godwit 20, Black-headed Gull 1, Rock Dove 38, Hooded Crow 1 and Raven 2
